VARIETY: 100% Malbec.
VINEYARD: Finca Calitina, Mendoza, Argentina.
CULTIVATION: Sustainable practice.
ALTITUDE: 760 meters above sea level.
IRRIGATION: Natural water from the Andes Mountains.
HARVEST: March 2006. Hand-harvested in 15 Kg. boxes.
AGING: Eight months in new French and American Oak barrels.
PRODUCTION: 1,200 bottles.
TASTING NOTES: Deep purple with ruby reflexes. Aromas of ripe plum, black cherry and vanilla, intensifying on the palate with an excellent balance of acidity and evolving tannins. Great aging potential or drink now with grilled beef, hearty pasta or Argentine empanadas. Alcohol 13.8% by volume.

Calitina Malbec Reserva 2006
Calitina's Founder collaborated with a licensed enologist to produce a gold medal winner from the first Malbec harvest at the Calitina Vineyard Country Club.
There are now only a few cases of Calitina Malbec Reserva 2006 available. The 2007 vintage is sold out. The incredible 2008 is ready for release. And the 2009-2011, our best vintages yet, are aging in the cellar.
